On 24th October, four LTPSS students participated in the 2nd Annual Hong Kong Stories’ Student Story Slam at The Fringe Club in Central.
A story slam is a competition in which students write and perform a true, first-person story about their own lives connected to the theme of the competition, which was Seconds. This is more challenging than other competitions because competitors have to have strong writing skills as well as the ability to speak fluently with dynamic body language and voice expression without using any notes!
Representing LTPSS in the junior category were Violet Teh of 2S and Bobo Ho of 3S.
Violet Teh telling her tragic tale of a split-second cycling accident
Bobo Ho narrating how her friends cause her to second-guess herself
For the senior category, the school was represented by Nabila Yan of 5T and Savio Shi of 5SA. All of them performed brilliantly and Savio managed to get the top score for the senior category!
Nabila shares how she learned to appreciate second-hand clothes
Savio entertains with his description of how he often dives into situations without a second thought
Savio wins the certificate of distinction in the senior category
