Few members of the prefect team of our school are selected to participate in a program organized by the Junior Chamber International (Hong Kong), namely the ‘Shelter Dreams’. Students are given a valuable chance to explore, or even authentically experience the poverty problem in our society. Themed as ‘Caring and Sharing’, the activity allows people from all walks of life to learn the issue of poverty, so as to raise their awareness on social issues such as poverty and wealth gap in Hong Kong. Participants had to build a shelter with card boards and then to stay overnight in their hand-made shelter! This activity does not only allow our students to explore the lives of the underprivileged groups in the society, but also to reflect on their own lives and the ways they can contribute to the society.
