‘Plastic and You’

On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of April our student members of the Tai Po Interact Club supported the ‘Plastic and You’ event organised by the parent company Rotary Club of Tai Po. The objectives of the event were to raise awareness among the public about the threat of overusing plastic to our global environment and to encourage people to discuss and implement means of addressing this growing problem. Our student ‘ineractors’ helped organise the event held in Mikik mall. During the two day program they engaged members of the public through games and discussion. They also took part in a forum style discussion with prominent environmental scientists and campaigners. It was a meaningful and inspiring project and Law Ting Pong Secondary school looks forward to more collaboration with the Interact and Rotary societies in future.

“I’ve never been a environmental-oriented person in my life. The “Plastic & You” event was an insightful experience that changed me from the inside. Thanks to the event, I now realize how important it is to save our dying planet from waste pollution. I hope this message can be spread around and we can raise awareness to this growing threat soon.”
