Our school’s Careers Week for Secondary Five students, which has run for four years, has recently been awarded the Merit Prize of the Life Planning Programme Design competition (生涯規劃教育計劃設計大奬 2019) by the Hong Kong Association of Career Masters and Guidance Masters (HKACMGM).
On behalf of the school’s Life Planning and Career Counselling Team, our Head of the Team, Ms Joanna Lee, who was also the architect of the whole programme, received the award at the Prize Presentation Ceremony of the 60th Anniversary Celebration cum mini conference.
Various speakers attended the ceremony cum conference, including Mrs. Carrie Yau, Executive Director, Vocational Training Council (VTC), Professor Chiu Wing Kai Stephen, Chair Professor, Department of Social Sciences, Education University of Hong Kong and Dr. Szeto Wing Fu Ricky, Executive Director, Hung Fook Tong Holdings Limited. Together all professionals in the field discussed ways to nurture skills for the new era and the latest developments and practices in relation to career guidance.
Our school’s Life Planning and Career Counselling Team would like to thank HKACMGM for their recognition of our effort in making differences to our students, and of course, our Principal, Ms Lancy Tam, for allowing much room for our teachers in unleashing our creativity and maximising our potential as professional teachers at LTPSS.
