The 19th Speech Day of Law Ting Pong Secondary School was successfully held on 18th November 2016. We were glad to have Ms Jamie Wong Wan-Yiu as our Guest of Honour to address us. Ms Jamie Wong won the silver medal at the 2010 Asian Games and represented Hong Kong in the Women’s Road Race at the 2012 London Olympics. In the 2013 Asian Cycling Championship, she successfully defended her title. We would like to again say a big thank you to Ms Wong for her speech which conveyed clear messages about the right attitude towards success and obstacles. To show our admiration to Ms Wong’s achievement in the Women’s Road Race event, our supervisor, Mr. Kenneth Chen presented the school souvenir to Ms Jamie Wong. The souvenir, drawn by our student, Harry Chu, was a portrait representing Ms Jamie Wong and her cycling legend.
With the presence of all our honorable guests, teachers, parents, graduates and our current S6 students, it was indeed a wonderful night filled with love and hope. We were particularly glad to have had this chance to hear words from our supervisor, Mr Kenneth Chen and our graduate representative, Mr. Ming Lee. Everyone was inspired and gained insights into leading a more fruitful life.
Fabulous student performances united everyone to celebrate successes and the graduation. A flame, which represents the school spirit of Sincerity, Righteousness, Contemplation and Practice, was passed on from our graduates to our S6 students. We are confident that our graduates will conquer any possible fears in their new life journey, and in the spirit of Law Ting Pong Secondary School, they will continue to pursue their every life goal and strive to learn, to love, to serve and to shine in the world.
