In June of this year, LTPSS were approached by an outside agency to work on a project that used empty plastic bottles to build a fully functioning boat.
Along with members of wherevergreen.hk, Mr McAndrew and a group of LTPSS students, set about constructing a bamboo frame that was to be used for the boats hull. The frame was held together by knots made from hemp rope. Currently the group is in the process of completing the boat by attaching plastic bottles to the hull, again using hemp rope, to give the boat buoyancy. we hope to launch the boat sometime in the next few weeks
