It is our school’s Experiential Learning Week!
As stated by some of the scholars in the education field, through experiential learning, students are given a chance to acquire and apply knowledge, skills and feelings in a relevant setting. Instead of merely thinking about the encounter or imagining the possibility of doing something in a social setting, experiential learning provideS concrete experience for students to reflect upon and develop learning from it.
Our students are now on their experiential learning trips both local and overseas. For local trips, S3 & 4 students designed and planned their own learning trips with their teacher facilitators. They came up with a Big Question regarding the future of Hong Kong in the coming decade. An in-depth exploration of the chosen topic is being conducted this week, so that students can gain better understanding of at least one aspect of Hong Kong and reflect upon what they can do to shape the future of their home. Their learning will be showcase at the coming Global Learning Showcase in late March.
