Congratulations to Miss Erica Chiu and her teammates Miss Abby Au and Mr John Shek.
The EDB organized a lesson plan design competition on “law-abidingness” and “empathy” for teachers to enhance the understanding of the respective priority values and attitudes and encouraging people to put the priority values and attitudes into practice. Since 2020, the CDC recommended setting “law-abidingness” and “empathy” as priority values and attitudes in order to enable students to understand that law-abidingness is the basic responsibility of citizens for the benefits of the community. They can also learn to empathize and put themselves in others’ shoes, respect different opinions and in turn help create a harmonious and caring society.
Miss Chiu and her teammates spent a whole term in designing the lessons, preparing the learning materials, implementing the lesson plans in the life education lessons and having lesson observation in different forms to evaluate the effectiveness of the lessons. Finally, they got the Merit Award in the competition and the prize ceremony was held on 2nd September, 2022.
Once again, congratulations to the awardees.
