Mr Hamilton was being honored for his writing and literary scholarship. You are welcome to join the events and celebrate and extend your congratulation to Mr Hamilton.
Thursday March 9, 7:30 PM – THE BEAT GOES ON, Encore evening: Hong Kong poets read their favorite poems by Ginsberg, Snyder, Baraka, Kerouac, Di Prima, McClure & other great Beat Poets as well as their own poems inspired by the Beat Poets. D.J. Hamilton’s recent book of poems, The Hummingbird Sometimes Flies Backwards, won the Proverse Prize 2018. His poems have appeared in a number of small press and literary publications. He has won awards in Washington State and New York for poems, plays and play directing. He has worked in professional theatre and taught Theatre and English at International schools in several countries. He now teaches Performing Arts in Law Ting Pong Secondary School.
