The award ceremony of the 2022 Tai Po District Outstanding Student Election was held on 20 November 2022. It was conducted by Tai Po Youths Association. Three of our senior form students and one graduate have been given the award. Congratulations to the awardees who went through the challenging nomination interview and selection procedures. The awardees are surely role models and STAR students. Let’s take a look at their profiles.
Ng Pak Hin was selected as one of the top 10 most outstanding students in the 2022 Tai Po District Outstanding Student Election organized by the association. He is a S.5 student and is renowned for his talent in Judo. As a member of the Judo Team of Hong Kong, he practises Judo every day and has been striking a fine balance between his studies and Judo practice. Pak Hin demonstrates true sportsmanship through his dedication and outstanding performance in the sport. He has gone through many tough international Judo battles since a young age. His keen spirit in Judo and quick-witted character continue to impress others.
Yip Tze Yin is a S.5 student who is talented in Music and has attained outstanding achievements in numerous piano competitions. She has set her mind on pursuing a professional career in Music and has, on many occasions, showcased her remarkable talent in playing the piano. She has won a total of twelve awards and commendations in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival since 2013, and is a frequent performer at important school occasions. You will be stunned by her beautiful piano performance. As a modest and self-driven learner, she is keen to achieve breakthroughs and go the extra mile to pursue her pursuit in the field of Music.
Cheung Hui Tung is currently a S.5 student. Since her senior year, she has been participating actively in Student Leader Teams activities. In the year 2021-22, she was a Committee Member of the Students’ Association. When organizing activities, she displays great potential and is keen to explore new ideas and share her thoughts with teammates. She was most recognized for her considerate and reflective traits, and takes learning and extra-curricular pursuits seriously. Her teachers think highly of her as a cheerful and committed student leader at school.
Li Sze Huen Corinna is a graduate of our 2022 class. She is currently pursuing her tertiary studies in the United Kingdom. As a representative of the Hong Kong Women’s National Ice Hockey Team, she has grown and thrived through her participation in numerous international Ice Hockey competitions. In 2019-22, she took up the role as Captain of the Women’s Ice Hockey Organisation Junior Team and has led the team to participate in the Hong Kong Women’s Ice Hockey League, winning the league championship. In 2019, Corinna also represented Hong Kong to take part in the Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Apart from that, Corinna has also completed in the Ice Hockey Referee Level 1 training organized by the Hong Kong Ice Hockey Association Referee Clinic.
